ACCOmMODATION

Participants are kindly requested to make their own accommodation arrangements, as the conference organisers do not recommend specific hotels.

Luxembourg City offers a wide variety of hotels across different districts, many of which are conveniently located near public transportation. Please note that in Luxembourg all public transportation is free.

Several hotels can be found in the Kirchberg District (also known as the European District), where the main conference venue (Chamber of Commerce) is situated. This area is well connected by tram, offering direct and convenient access to both Luxembourg’s Central Train Station and airport. Please note that hotels in this district tend to be in a higher price range.

Participants who prefer to stay in the city center or near the airport will also find a number of hotel options close to tram stops. These provide direct access to both the conference venue (“Coque” stop) and the Working Groups/Plenary Assembly venue (“Gare Centrale” stop).

Important note: We strongly recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible. Hotel availability in Luxembourg is often limited and prices can be high.

Transport

All public transport in Luxembourg (including buses, trams, and trains) is free of charge throughout the country, making it easy for participants to move between the airport, the central train station, the conference venue and the city center.

From the Airport

Luxembourg Airport is located approximately 8 km from the city center and is well connected by public transport. Several bus lines and the tram provide direct and frequent connections to the Kirchberg District (conference venue) and Gare Centrale (main train station).

Tram and Bus Network

The tram line is an efficient way to travel across the city, particularly between the airport, the conference venue (“Coque” stop), the Shuttle Bus departure (“Faïencerie” stop), the city center (“Hamilius” stop) and the Working Group/Plenary Assembly venue (“Gare Centrale” stop).

Buses complement tram services and cover areas not served by the tram line. For detailed routes, schedules, and trip planning, visit mobiliteit.lu.

Walking and Cycling

Luxembourg City is pedestrian-friendly, especially in the city center. A public bike-sharing system, Vel’oh!, is also available for those who prefer cycling.
